Due to the various ways Quantum and its distributors may list a product, how you identify your specific Quantum product may differ from one customer to another. Below is information on how to identify your Quantum disk drive by the original model / part number and how to locate your serial number. Model / Part Number: The bar-code identifies the disk drive part number. This label can be found on either the interface connector or the drive cover plate. This sequence is also called the TLA. The first 5 alpha-numeric values are all that is needed to identify the product. As demonstrated the first two characters identify the model type, the second two identify the capacity and the fifth identifies the interface / connector type. Serial Number: Quantum disk drive serial numbers are printed on a bar-coded label and display an 11 to 12 digit numeric sequence. This label can be found on the drive plate, side or at the rear just below the interface cable connection. To use the table below; The bolded values are the characters found in the TLA, by scrolling through the table you should be able to define your specific drive. Interface values: A = ATA(IDE) S = SCSI, 50-pin Single Ended W = SCSI Wide, 68-pin Single Ended D = SCSI Wide, 68-pin Differential L = SCSI Wide, Low Voltage Differential J = SCSI SCA, 80-pin Model Capacities Product Name AT 1070 / 2100 / 4300 (Note 1) Atlas XP31070/32150/34300 BF 1280 / 2100 / 2550 Bigfoot 1.2/2.1/2.5 CP 1108 / 2216 (Note 1) Capella VP31110/32210 CR 4300 / 6400 / 8400 / 13000 Fireball CR 4.3/6.4/8.4/13.0 CX 6400 / 10200 / 13000 / 20400 Fireball CX 6.4/10.2/13.0/20.4 CY 2111 / 4335 / 6405 Bigfoot CY 2.1/4.3/6.4 DA 170 / 256 / 341 / 514 Daytona 170/256/341/514 EL 2500 / 5100 / 7600 / 10200 Fireball EL 2.5/5.1/7.6/10.2 EM 540 / 1080 / 1400 / 2100 Empire 540/1080/1400/2100 EN 525 / 700 / 1050 / 1225 ProDrive LPS 525/700/1050/1225 EP 1800 ProDrive LPS 1800 EU 540 / 810 / 1080 Europa 540/810/1080 EX 03200/05100/06400/10200/12700 Fireball EX 3.2/5.1/6.4/10.2/12.7 FB 540 / 640 / 1080 / 1280 Fireball 540/640/1080/1280 GM 120 / 240 ProDrive LPS 120/240 GP 2151 / 4301 Grand Prix XP32151/34301 HN 2275 / 4550 / 9100 Atlas II XP32275/34550/39100 KA 06400 / 09100 / 13600 / 18200 Fireball Plus KA 6.4/9.1/13.6/18.2 KN 09100 / 18200 / 36400 Atlas IV 9.1/18.2/36.4 LT 365 / 540 / 730 Lightning 365/540/730 MU 425 ProDrive 425 MV 270 / 540 Maverick 270/540 PI 42 / 85 / 127 / 170 ProDrive ELS 42/85/127/170 PX 04550 / 9100 Viking II 4.55/9.1 RR 127 / 170 / 210 / 340 / 420 LPS 127/170/210/340/420 SA 1080 / 2170 Saturn VP31080/32170 SE 2100 / 3200 / 4300 / 6400 /8400 Fireball SE 2.1/3.2/4.3/6.4/8.4 SG 1080 / 2110 Pioneer SG 1.0 / 2.1 SR 1700 / 2550 Sirocco 1.7/2.5 ST 1620 / 2160 / 3240 / 4320/6480 Fireball ST 1.6/2.1/3.2/4.3/6.4 TB 270 / 540 LPS 270/540 TD 9100 / 18000 Atlas III 9.1/18.2 TM 1080/1280/2110/2550/3200/3800 Fireball TM 1.0/1.2/2.1/2.5/3.2/3.8 TN 09100 / 18200 / 36400 Atlas 10K 9.1/18.2/36.4 TR 420 / 635 / 850 Trailblazer 420/850 TS 06400 / 08400 / 12700 / 19200 Bigfoot TS 6.4/8.4/12.7/19.2 TX 04000 / 06000 / 08000 / 12000 Bigfoot TX 4.0/6.0/8.0/12.0 VK 2275 / 4550 Viking 2.2/4.5 Note 1: Please note that early versions of the Atlas and Capella disk drives did not carry the complete TLA number scheme. Please refer to the drive cover label if you suspect that you may have either of these products. DSP drives are not included in this table. DSP series drives were manufactured by Digital and contain Digital part number schemes.
