Along with the tiny integrated screen an external monitor can be used that will display the same information but only bright on black background.

The signal on the BNC is an ordinary VBS signal that can be fed to a TV or a video monitor. Care should be taken because the vertical frequency is 60 Hz (american TV norm) and not 50 Hz.
